Who is ‘Battlehill Methodist Church?’
In its simplest form we are a body of people that follow the Methodist tradition of worship.  We meet in a Church building on the first day of the week (Sunday) to worship and to have fellowship one with another, as did the early Christian church.

What is our aim at Battlehill Methodist Church?
Our aim is to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. We believe in the New Testament Church and that you need to have a personal faith in Jesus Christ. Our Church building is used for Christian Worship, to develop Christian Teaching and to Evangelise the local area.

We believe in the 4 ALL’s of Methodism.

All men need to be saved.

   All men can be saved

All men can know that they are saved.

All men can be saved completely.

When is Battlehill Methodist Church open?
We meet for worship every Sunday at 10am.  We also have a Sunday School during the morning service.  We have some Sunday evening services and these usually start at 7pm.   Check our ‘Dairy’ page for details of services.

Why worship at Battlehill Methodist?
Hebrews 10:25 says:
Not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. (NIV)

We are encouraged to meet with one another, to share with each other in Christian fellowship.  We are also reminded in this verse that it is not forever. Someday the Churches will be empty; someday they will no longer be in use. Whenever Jesus returns there won’t be any need for a Church building.

Some people only attend a church at christenings, weddings and funerals.  But at Battlehill Methodist we offer an invitation to attend a ‘Christ centred’ service for worship, teaching and fellowship.

Whenever you meet with Jesus, he changes your life.  In St Luke we read that ‘Wise men sought Jesus’.  Today – they still do.
